springsprout
I tried a few times to try to bid a room on June 26-28 but did not win anything. What's the realistic price range for 3* or above in soma, use, usw or fde on these dates? Thank you, Spring Link to comment
thereuare
Please start by reading your messages (which will also remove the red box at the top of the page and make the board easier to navigate) How high did you bid already? Rates appear to be very high and currently i think you'll need to be in the $225 area to be successful at a 3* or better for these dates. Using our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel in the zone(s) you're willing to accept? springsprout
Thank you! I've bidded $205 for 3.5. Is it possible the price will drop a bit later on? Link to comment

thereuare
Nobody can say if rates will come down, or move even higher, between now and your stay. What were the rates you found using MAPS and HOTELS.com? How high are you willing to bid for a hotel room for this stay? I would suggesting using our sister site RefundableRates.com to find an acceptable hotel to use as a back-up. Then use our free RateDrop service to monitor rates for your dates and get an alert any time a hotel within your desired star rating and zone drops to a price that you're willing to pay (or set rates just below current rates to know of any price drop). Does the gameplan above work for you?
