bruin89
From Bidding.Helper: FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower 90% Recommended on Hotwire; 4/5 on TripAdvisor I'm guessing Hilton Washington based on other posts, but wonder if it might be the Omni Shoreham as well. Would prefer the Omni as it seems closer to the Metro. TIA. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Best guess for this one would be the Hilton... i'm doubtful that this is the Omni. bruin89
Help ID 3* Convention Center - Arts District area 2adults/2children $123/nite From Bidding.Helper: FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking Tripadvisor 4/5; Hotwire 90% recommended (56 total reviews) Your list only shows one 3* in that area with a pool, the Hampton Inn. What's more, the description from Bidding Helper notes it's an indoor pool, as well, which the Hampton has. The description doesn't mention "free breakfast", or "free wifi" which the Hampton does include. Looks right about the price point we're looking at (rather than burning our available hotel points) and best balance of location and amenities. I know we shouldn't use the BB hotel matchups as "set in stone" but it sounds like they're pretty accurate. Thanks in advance. Link to comment
thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the lower right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. This 3* property has not yet been reported to the board. The Hampton Inn would be one possibility, but so would the Cambria Suites Washington, and there could be others as well. What exactly are your needs and budget (per nite before taxes/fees) for this trip? bruin89
Apologies, I didn't realize I should keep within the same post even for a different star level. Ugh, that was not the answer I was looking for from you! :) That makes our decision harder. Hmmm, with our kids location is pretty key to us. Not sure if I want to risk getting a hotel that's not close to a Metro stop. I'd probably want to pay around $125/night, fairly close to a Metro stop and in a walkable area that has places to eat/stroll nearby after the attractions are closed. Pool would be a bonus. It looks like there are options that meet our criteria in Georgetown and Convention Center areas, but again I'm just a little wary of not being close to a Metro. Thanks again! Link to comment
thereuare
I don't currently see any other options for quad occupancy within the 'DC limits' within your budget... why not book a back-up using points and then continue to monitor HOTWIRE for any new/lower priced inventory?
