thereuare
Please start by adding a reply to your Hotwire NYC hotel win with the amenities HOTWIRE shows for this property when viewing your purchase history using the MY ACCOUNT link on the top right of their home page. For the offers above, you can see my comments/guess for each inline below: Magnificent Mile Area - River North 4.5*, 174USD --> The James Hotel Magnificent Mile North - Water Tower 4.5*, 180USD If you get an error for a given hotel in the EASY VIEW you can do the following in order to see the complete set of amenities: Search HOTWIRE (or use the HOTWIRE tab at BiddingHelper.com) and...click the offeron the next page click the BOOK NOW linkin the TRIP SUMMARY box click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenitiesUsing this method below is what i'm seeing for the 4.5* hotel in this zone: Free Internet Indoor Pool Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet ... if this is what you're seeing, the Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile would be my best guess for this one. PRICELINE EXPRESS North Michigan Ave - River North Area Rated 8.0 out of 10 (or higher) --> i'm assuming this property is 4.5* rated? If so, the Intercontinental Chicago would be my best guess here HOTWIRE Magnificent Mile North - Water Tower 5* at 286USD --> a new amenity set for The Peninsula Chicago would be my best guess for this one Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. AaronJB
If the 5* is within your desired budget and you were able to get the Peninsula, that would be a pretty phenomenal result. Of the 4.5*'s you mention, I'd go with the James for a few bucks less than the other two. I'll also throw in a 4* in the Loop area for $136 (you may see a slightly different price) w/Restaurant, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Spa. This would be a possible match for the Virgin Hotel, which just opened recently. Loran
I search for 3 adults in the Loop 4* and only this one shows: FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Internet access, Spa services at $156 Will this one be Virgin Hotel? I think it's a pretty decent place... Link to comment
yellowdog
Yes, best guess would be Virgin Hotels Chicago. AaronJB
The Virgin just opened a short while back and is in a great location a couple of blocks from the Michigan Ave. bridge, so great/central location plus new/fresh hotel. Loran
Forgot to hit purchase yesterday and now it has increased to $166/nite. Should I wait or not? Link to comment
AaronJB
Prices can change all the time. There is no way to know if the rate will come back. Waiting for it to go down a little back to what it was does also risk it going even higher in the meantime. Loran
Not satisfied with all deals on Hot.wire and Price.line. Love Sofitel very much and found something on Travel.ocity. Ended up with a secret rate on Travelocity and got Sofitel. Total with tax is $437.97. Cancelled my previous Sofitel reservation. Link to comment
AaronJB
The Travelocity secret deals are powered by HOTWIRE.. Can you confirm the amenities that were showing with this listing before purchase? For the future please book through our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate bookings... or thru our Support Page where we have links to most of the major hotel chains and online booking agencies, including Travelocity. Loran
Previously I thought it was powered by Hotwire. However, I cannot find the same deal on Hot.wire for this particular purchase. Now the deal seems to be changed. A similar one with the following amenities has about 30 bucks/nite higher prices. Amenities: Free Internet Boutique hotel Smoke-free rooms Restaurant(s) Internet access I remember what I saw before purchasing... Besides the above... A lot accessibility related ones and business center... Sorry after purchasing there seems no way to track back... Link to comment
thereuare
... and please note from our Support Page that we are an affiliate of most of the major online booking agencies, including Travelocity.
