Hi,

Hi, I'm planning to book a hotel in San Francisco through bidding at PRICE.LINE.com. Hope to be there from 05/13 - 05/15

My budget (hotel + taxes + parking) is US$125/night in San Francisco.

What's the best deal/location? How should I bid?

Thought about US or Fisherman's Wharf.

TIA

Flavia

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Please start by reading your messages (which will also remove the red box at the top of the page and make the board easier to navigate)

With hotel parking costing as much as $40 (or more), and taxes/fees costing another ~$20/nite, you're not leaving much in your budget for the actual room.

What is the minimum star level you're seeking for this stay? Using our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel?

Let us know the information above and we will make some suggestions as to best make this work as close to your budget as possible.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

Hi,
Thanks for your help!
we have a reservation at "Town House Motel" (1650 Lombard Street Marina District San Francisco CA 94123) and we paid U$129 for that including taxes (free parking) that we are planning to cancel. Any hotel better than that would be good for us!
I'll make sure to use your link!

Thank you in advance.

The property above is in neither the Union Square East, Union Square West, nor the Fisherman Wharf zones (the ones you stated above that you're willing to bid on), and in these zones you will almost certainly need to pay for parking... so you're not making an apples-to-apples comparison.

Do you want to bid in the zone that the Town House Motel is located in OR are you looking to stay in Union Square or Fisherman's Wharf? Also, this property is 2 star rating by PRICELINE... is this is the star rating that you're looking for from this stay?

What looks to be the Executive Hotel Vintage Court, Union Square is available for $127/nite OR the Mark Twain for $140/nite... but this is before taxes/fees/parking. There are some other options in this general price range as well, but even if you can get parking for 'just' $20/nite separate from your hotel, you're likely looking at about $175+ per nite 'all-in'... not sure how flexible you are in regards to budget in order to have a better location.

Let us know know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed or if sticking with your current reservation.
