AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :)1100EUR is - at current rates - approximately 1200USD. When you look at taxes/fees added on, that averages out to a room rate of approximately $120 per night. NYC is unfortunately quite expensive, with Jan-early Mar being the primary period that's more reasonable. A 5* for $120 is unfortunately going to be unrealistic for this period. A 4* in Manhattan for $120 is possible, but it's likely going to take a little more than that - possibly $125-140. Would that be acceptable? thereuare
... 4* or 5* in Manhattan or Long Island City.I will add that you're budget is close enough for a Manhattan hotel that it would be worth stretching your budget vs. staying in Long Island City. LIC is certainly do-able for the right price, but you will likely have a better overall experience staying directly in Manhattan (and you didn't travel all this way to stay outside of the city based upon a ~$100 difference) Let us know if you're able to increase your budget to $125-$135/nite (before taxes/fees) and we will advise accordingly.
