kershawrulz Posted March 30, 2015 Report Share Posted March 30, 2015 Using your Priceline link, I bid on 3.5* hotels in all of Manhattan except uptown -- zones 2 3 5 6 8 9 11 12 13 14 16 17 18 19 and I used zones 4 and 7 as rebid zones. I started at $100 and got an offer to increase my bid to $135, so I knew I was close immediately. I tried $110 with rebid zone 4, $115 with rebid zone 7, $117 with rebid zones 4 and 7, then waited 24 hours. I then tried $118 (still offered to try $135), then $119 with rebid zone 4 and was accepted by this hotel. I stayed at this hotel a few years ago for a slightly higher price, I think it's old but I was happy enough with it. I'm happy I had plenty of time to increase my bid by $1 to get the best price. The total is $741.95 for the 5 nights, so with taxes and fees it's $148.39/night Link to comment
