canadianjovigirl
We are looking for a hotel in Vancouver for June 28-July 2. Needing 2 beds as there will be 2 adults and one teen. I'm seeing ones with bed choices, but then states 2 adults only. I'm seeing a 4 star Coal Harbour Area for $132/night. We are wanting downtown or this area, any idea what hotel this would be? Indoor/outdoor pool, fitness centre, free internet, pets allowed, business centre, restaurant. Are we best not to use these options needing 2 beds? Link to comment
thereuare
Please start by following-up your previous Hotwire Cancun thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. For your stay above... Technically PRICELINE EXPRESS only guarantees double occupancy, regardless of the room type booked. If you book a room that shows a 'Bed Choice' and offers two beds and/or 1bed + sofabed i can't see a hotel having much of an issue with your showing up with three people and know of no instances of any such issues. (but if you were to book a room with only one bed then i can see there being a potential problem) If this is not a risk you're willing to accept then you can use HOTWIRE which will allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and guarantees that there will be sleeping accommodations for everyone that you include in your search. For the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer above, i will note that it does seem a bit odd that the option for two beds is cheaper than the option with one bed (almost always the two bed option is more expensive) For the 4* PRICELINE EXPRESS offer my guess for this one would be the Pinnacle Hotel Vancouver Harbourfront. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. canadianjovigirl
Thanks. Was thinking it was that hotel but was hoping it wasn't as they offer 2 double beds and was wanting queen beds. But it's a great deal. Link to comment
canadianjovigirl
3.5 star Vancouver - downtown shopping entertainment HOTWIRE for June 28 - July 2 2 adults, one child. $148/night. Free internet, indoor pool, restaurant, pet friendly, smoke free rooms, suite, fitness centre, boutique hotel, pools. Any guesses as to what hotel this would be? Or would we be better bidding on something or can we not do that needing 2 beds? Link to comment
thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the lower right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. I don't think PRICELINE bidding would be a good option for you for this trip as you need accommodations for more than double occupancy. For the HOTWIRE offer above I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 3.5 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Free Internet Fitness Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Tennis Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking ... if this is what you're seeing, my best guess for this one would be the Executive Hotel Vintage Park. canadianjovigirl
Thanks but i was looking at it thru the link, but on the hotwire tab which shows the prices in Canadian Dollars and cant see all those amenities listed. But following your instructions i see: free internet, pet friendly, suite, boutique hotel, indoor pool, smoke free rooms, fitness center, pools, restaurant, self service laundry, internet access, kitchenette, spa services, in-room accessibility, wheelchair accessible, accessible bathroom, accessible parking, roll in shower 3.5 star for $115 USD or there is another 3.5 star showing free internet, fitness center, restaurant, business center, self service laundry, internet access, tennis nearby, accessible for visually impaired, accessible for hearing impaired, accessible path of travel, in room accessible bathroom, accessible parking Do you know what these would be? They are both in downtown shopping entertainment district? There is also a 5 star in downtown shopping district for $135 USD that has indoor pool, fitness center, pools, restaurant, business center, self srvice laundry, internet access, spa services, in room accessibility, wheelchair accessible? canadianjovigirl
Thank you so much, now just to decide on what one would be the best deal, the PRICELINE EXPRESS with choice of beds or the HOTWIRE deals. I think they all seem decent. Chances are we will end up with 2 doubles, which we will live with, but a bit concerned that the Century Plaza offers 2 twin beds which would not work for us, but does have mini kitchens which is a bonus for drinks/snacks.
