Hi all,

 

First time poster here so I'll try to answer the question from what I have seen from other posts. I am looking at two all-inclusive in the North Hotel Zone from Hotwire. 

 

September 6th-September 10th 2015 are my dates. 2 Adults, 1 Room

 

4*, All inclusive, $185 per night down from $280, 4.5/5 TripAdvisor

FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Resort, Beachfront hotel, Free food and drinks, A la carte dining, Free water activities, Free entertainment, Free activities, Children's activities, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom

 

 

4.5*, All-inclusive, $272 per night down from $395, 95% recommended, according to to last user who booked here was for Secrets the Vine (not sure if it's consistent)

Thanks for the response! I am looking at the search results now and see the $185. I'm probably leaning towards the $272 but would just be curious what you think the $185 property is.

Typically in your experience do the the prices go up towards target date or is it random?

It's based upon supply/demand (how actual new reservations/cancellations come in relative to expected new reservations/cancellations)

If you're happy with the hotel guessed for the price offered i would recommend taking it, as just like the property you are less interested in, the one you want could disappear at any time, and you may not like the 'replacement' property (if there is one) as much.

Used the HOTWIRE link and went with the $272 and it was Live Aqua.

Yellowdog - do you think this search would still generate Live Aqua? When I'm doing it, I'm getting a still awaiting reviews instead of 95% recommended. Also, no hotel shows up showing what the last person who booked actually received?

I'm looking at June 29th - July 4th (5 nights) for two adults and I'm seeing $203 per night. I'm curious if it's Sandos instead.

Inventory changes all the time. It's not possible to know without knowing the exact details of the listing you are looking at, but it would not surprise me if inventory has changed about a month later.
