thereuare Posted March 28, 2015 Report Share Posted March 28, 2015 I would start searching now and if you see what looks like a deal then i wouldn't think twice about making the purchase. It's a misconception that waiting until the last minute will necessarily yield a better price... While you're only focused on these particular dates, hotels have to manage rates for the next 12-18 months and one day before arrival they can't do much to effect demand and have already focused their attention elsewhere. Even if they were to drop their rates by 50% the day before arrival, how many incremental guests could they get? It will be too late for many people to make impromptu plans to stay at the hotel, those visiting the area will already have non-refundable reservations at this point and not able to switch hotels, and the hotel would rather leave rates high for any walk-in customers (who are not likely to comparison shop by walking to the next hotel to check their rates). As well, you're searching for triple occupancy, which can limit the number of results that HOTWIRE offers. Let us know if/when you make a decision and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Received Hilton London on Park Lane. Saved about $75 CDN per night off their website best deal and saved $100 versus Hotels..com offer. Pleased with this result! Thanks for your help. Link to comment
