If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages, as this will also remove the red box at the top of the page asking you to do the same. ;) I wouldn't necessary suggest staying in Brooklyn unless you have reason to be in this area for a large portion of your trip OR the price of more centrally located zones doesn't make it feasible to stay anywhere else, as currently the Brooklyn zone is geographically quite large and it could be a long commute to midtown. Your best options will most likely be dependent upon your budget... what is your expected budget (per nite before taxes/fees) for this trip? Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* vs. a 3* OR is the goal the least expensive 3* or better for this stay? The zones that would be acceptable are Central Park South, Chelsea, Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, Midtown East, Midtown West, Soho, Time Square. thereuare Posted February 17, 2015 Report Share Posted February 17, 2015 Few comments: CPS - centrally located but contains the Hudson Hotel which has notoriously small rooms, would this be an acceptable outcome? MTE - most hotels are well located, but a few can be up to a 10-15 minute walk to the subway, would this be acceptable? You may also want to consider: Chelsea - some hotels can be up to a 10 minute walk to the subway, but this is a 'hot' area at the moment (lots of restaurants, bars, clubs, boutiques, etc) so still considered to be very desirable You may need to increase your budget a bit as April is high season for NYC, but i am seeing a few things that are not too far from your budget... what looks like the Shoreham is available for $145/nite.
