Priceline Hotel: Looking for bid advice in Beverly Hills

I am looking to stay in Beverly Hills from April 18-21 and want a 4*+ hotel.  What are my best bets to get the best value in terms of amount and time of bid.

 

Any advice on car rental as well

My Max budget would probably be around $180 a night but would love to keep it at 130-150.

 

The last time I was in LA, 2 yrs ago, I stayed at the Intercontinental for $125 and it was great

If Beverly Hills is the only zone you're willing to accept (or any other zones, such as West Hollywood, also acceptable?), i think it may take more than your target of $150 but less than your maximum of $180... how high are you willing to bid at this point in time?

I am willing to go up to 160-170, but If prices are to drop in the coming months I will wait.  Everyone seems to be getting good last minute deals these days

Nobody knows if rates will drop, or move higher, between now and your stay... it all depends on supply/demand (how actual new reservations/cancellations come in relative to expected new reservations/cancellations)
