khabs
Hi Folks, I need to find a hotel for college station texas on either hotwire or priceline. Any tips to find out the secret hotel on hotwire or bid on priceline? Also - is # occupants guaranteed using either method? thanks! Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :) Please provide the date/s of travel, desired star rating and desired budget per night. PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy/1 bed, while HOTWIRE allows you to indicate up to 4 guests per room. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

thereuare
What is your desired budget per nite for this stay? Assuming 2.5*, 3*, and 3.5* are all available within your budget, are you looking for the highest rated hotel within your budget OR the least expensive 2.5* or better for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. khabs
Well the budget is roughly $100 per night. I could go a little higher if the hotel chain is significantly better. I've went through the hotwire hot rate link - but just want to find out what hotels correspond to the choices that come up. Link to comment
thereuare
Let's back-up a minute... 1) you need quad occupancy but PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. Is the above a risk you're willing to accept? If not... 2) then your only option is to use HOTWIRE which allows you to search for quad occupancy and guarantees sleeping accommodations for everyone that you include in your search. If you choose to bid on PRICELINE there is no hotel-specific information provided about the property before you place your bid and therefore no way to guess as to which property you may receive. If you go the HOTWIRE route you can take a guess as to the hotel being offered based upon the amenities shown to be associated with the hotel. If you want to first try PRICELINE let us know which star rating you'd like to try for first and your maximum bid... if you want to pursue HOTWIRE then list the details of the hotel(s) that you are interested in (include star rating, zone, room rate per nite, and amenities associated with the property)... please use the EASY VIEW tab at BiddingHelper.com to copy/paste the amenities to ensure you're seeing them all. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
