ElPal
NOTE: Zone name should be Northeast Milan - Milan Central Station Area Using your PRICELINE links as always, I purchased this deal being $114 per night (or $132 per night with fees) and got the Hotel Bristol. Details shown before purchase were only that it had a guest rating of 7+ and that it has free internet. Note, prior to purchasing this deal, using your links I tried several bids and rebids and closed out and went back in via your link for each adding of rebid zones. Bidded for the North East - Central Station zone and also for the Downtown Duomo zone separately and with rebids. Bid in increments from $90, $95, $100, $105, $110 and all were rejected for both zones and no rebids were offered. It was at this point that we decided to take the express deal. I then activated Priceline's price guarantee. I have just looked at hotelscombined and saw that this same property could have been purchased and had included breakfast for a cheaper rate. Cheeky Price.line won't use any site that doesn't contain a breakdown of the room rate and fees even if the total is less so the $19 per night option wasn't one that we could get Priceline to honour but the $9 per night cheaper option was one that they have honoured and refunded 200% of the difference. All without having to make a phone call - use the Priceline chat function to do it. Link to comment
thereuare
Sorry to hear the larger best rate guarantee wasn't honored, but at least you did receive something back by them honoring the double the difference guarantee for the alternate price. Thank you for using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding and sharing your win, helping us add this property to the Priceline Express Hotel List. Enjoy your stay. ElPal
Yeah, I was disappointed but something is better than nothing. Has anyone else had this experience where if there isn't a breakdown showing room rate and fees and charges that even if the total price charged by the third party website is lower than Price.line's price, it will not honour its Best Price Guarantee? thereuare
Yes, i believe i recall a few instances here and there... the BRG is based upon room rate only, so if there is no breakdown, there is no way to validate the claim. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
