hopeland
Using BiddingHelper.com.com to hunt down another great deal in San Francisco. I'm eyeing two 4.5 star properties in Market St.-SOMA-Moscone. This is an example of 2 hotels with the same zone/star level/classification appearing for the same date. Dates: 2/6 - 2/8 Here are the two: A. FULL AMENITIES: Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access; 90% recommended; $135 B. Amenities: Pet Friendly, Indoor Pool, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Internet Access, Spa services, Access for the visually impaired; 100% recommended; $157 Note that only Hotel A shows up in Hotwire Easy View. Hotel B is almost definitely the Intercontinental. Hotel A matches pretty closely with an older set of amenities reported for the Intercontinental, but they probably aren't both for the Intercontinental. It looks like in Hotwire retail the Palomar is now a 4.5*, which as much as I like that property, I think it's a bit generous. Also, Hotel Palace is also considered a 4.5*. One of the reviews for Hotel A mentions the corner rooms, which I know are considered special rooms at the Palomar. So, I'm guessing that Hotel A is the Palomar and Hotel B is the Intercontinental. thereuare
For the second property i believe there are more amenities showing than what you have posted, as you'll need to make a few extra clicks in order to see the complete amenity set. If this one is not appearing in the EASY VIEW of BiddingHelper.com, try the following: Search HOTWIRE (or use the HOTWIRE tab at BiddingHelper.com) and...click the offeron the next page click the BOOK NOW linkin the TRIP SUMMARY box click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenitiesI had to search for 2adults/1child to get this second hotel to appear, but doing so, this is the amenity set i see for this 4.5* hotel: Pet Friendly Indoor Pool Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ... if this is what you're seeing, the Intercontinental San Francisco would be my best guess for this one. For the first property, i don't have any insight into this one given how common the amenity set is for a 4.5* hotel in this area, but i don't think it's the InterContinental. hopeland
Thanks for the insight. Based on my other Hotwire win that I just posted, we now know that Hotel A is the Park Central Premier San Francisco, a newly rebranded version of the Westin Market St. Will decide what I want to do between these two properties for this stay and will report back as soon as I know. hopeland
OK, so the above deals have evaporated, so I decided to go with Price.line instead. Was able to win it at $179 using Bidding.Helper.com as always. This is the exact lowest price as I bid $178 just before. Retail rates at the Intercontinental are $239, so decent savings there.
