AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :)This is a slow period in the city, but the issue with NYC is that rooms are often smaller than most big city hotel rooms and, as a result, rooms with two beds are rarely available and often go for a premium. If you bid in NYC, you're likely going to get a room with 1 bed. Hot.wire is a better option, as if you search for 3 adults, you will likely get some form of bedding for the entire party - either 2 beds or 1 bed + rollaway/1 bed + sofabed. When I search for 3 adults, I'm seeing a 3* in Midtown Central w/Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower for $124. This would likely be the Holiday Inn 57th. A bit higher and there are 4* options in the $135-150 range. Would $135-150 be acceptable for a 4*? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
madhubs
Thanks for your response. In my opinion, spending more on seeing the city is worth the money than spending on hotel rooms. I'm fine with a 2.5 star hotel too if it is within $120 including tax per day.I'll start looking at my options on Hotwire. Link to comment

thereuare
You can't link to hotel offers as they won't work on any computer other than your own (and even then will expire shortly after posting). For help with the hotels above please provide the full details of each (star rating, zone, room rate per nite, amenities associated with the hotel, etc) and we will have a look at each. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. thereuare
My guess for the PRICELINE EXPRESS property would be the Roger Smith. For the HOTWIRE offer, I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 3 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Free Internet Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ... if this is what you're seeing, the Holiday Inn Wall Street would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
