Hotwire Hotel: 4* New York City (Midtown Central) Warwick

Hi Fellas,

 

I'm looking for a place to stay in New York for Dec 19-21.  No itinerary just looking around with someone who hasn't been to NYC before.  I was thinking MTW would be a great location for this time of year.  I would love to stay at the Algonquin but realize that there are too many other options in that star range and area to really target it.  Generally I'm thinking centrally located (Times Square, MTW, Grand Central), 3.5 star quality or higher on either priceline or hotwire.  I'm wary of those in the MTE cohort as some are a bit of a hike to the typical sites.  Trying to avoid super small rooms where possible. Budget according to quality, I'd like to feel like I got a deal. Do you have any suggestions?

 

Would love to end up with a hotel like the Sofitel, Algonquin...

I am trying to identify a 5 star, empire state with free internet, fitness center, and restaurant(s) only.  100% recommended at $336 a night base rate.  Could you please help?

 

Looks like the Refinery best guess.  Would have been a steal for the plaza....

 

I've moved on to a 5 star midtown central at $370.  free internet, pet friendly, indoor pool, pool, restaurant, business, laundry, spa.  100% recommended, 4.5/5 on tripadvisor.  Doesn't seem to be a direct match to anything on the list.

I believe there were likely more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.

For future searches/bookings you can do the following to ensure you're seeing the complete list:

I would have loved to have snagged the peninsula! Unfortunately it looks like that hotel is gone now - so back to the drawing board.

You've got quite a bit of time yet.  When I've been closely watching Hotwire offers, sometimes they almost "blink" on and off.  If you check regularly for a while, the offer may well come back.  (Or you could see one you like even better.)  

 

But when you see one you like, best not to hesitate very long.

thanks. I am trying again now using your links.  think I will try priceline also.  Debating if I am willing to switch hotels as the sheraton times square has a just under $200 all in promotion through travelzoo for friday night only.

For 12/19-21, I'm seeing a 4* MTC w/Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Pet Friendly for $173 (you may see a slightly different price.) This would be a possible match for the Sheraton.
