sued816
I haven't been to SF in 1 1/2 years so I am really surprised at the prices. I got spoiled all the other times, getting $99 rooms at the Hilton and the Holiday Inn Fisherman's Wharf. I tried a bid weeks ago and gave up and booked a room direct with the Galleria Park at $186 a night. I would like to give this a try especially since the kids want me to add another night on at the end. They are very particular about where they want me to stay. Financial District or Union Square East. I would love to get a really nice 4 or 5 star right on Union Square for up to $150, but of course I want to play the game and pay as little as possible. I will accept a 3* hotel but no less. Have you got any suggestions for how I should do the bidding, please? My dates are 11/13 for 5 nights Link to comment
thereuare
At current rates you should be able to get a 3.5* at $150 or under, but if you want to first try for a 4* hotel (then a 3.5* if the 4 star bidding is rejected) you can try as follows: When bidding 4* in San Francisco you have SIX re-bid zones... at the 3.5* level you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Select 4* USE... Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $133, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* Financial... sued816
Wow. I just spent an hour bidding and bidding and nothing. At the end, I added in USW at 4* and went as high as $150 and nothing. I am considering the 3.5* on PRICELINE EXPRESS, but according to your lists, it is likely the Orchard Hotel. I am checking with my daughters to see if that location is ok with them and might just settle there. It looks lovely in its ads. If that does not work, can I do all the same bidding over again tomorrow? Link to comment
AaronJB
You can make the same bid once every 24 hours, so if a specific bid (4* USE, for example) was not accepted today, you can try again after 24 hours. Thank you for keeping us updated and please let us know if you have additional questions. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
