Post what you decided for those stays within each of those threads, then reply to this thread and we would be happy to take a look at the above post. Thanks. anng3
Ideally want to stay in Alpharetta North for whole time. What would you bid to do that?If dividing can do weekends Buckhead etc. What would your strategy be for Buckhead for weekends and rest of time in Alpharetta? So far up to $43 for 3* rejected and no counter. Will consider Buckhead and then Perimeter for choices.Prefer 3* in Alpharetta but will do 2.5 in Buckhead to avoids parking charges.Any help is appreciated.Would like to keep price as low as possible. anng3
Have gone up to $46 no go on 3* Alpharetta N.On express deals see 2.5* for $49 which has pool, pets, business center, bed choice, weight room, breakfast, free parking, Internet. Was thinking it's the La Quinta Northpoint? Have stayed there before and it's fine. Do you think it would come up for bidding and if so where would you start?Tried $42 no go on 2.5*Could also be Marriott Townplace. Link to comment
Romelle
Dividing days - "splitting your bid" - helps you deal with unusual rate peaks (holidays, events, weddings, conventions, etc.). For longer stays it also helps you deal with the issue of a specific hotel just not giving inventory to Priceline bidding for your full span of time. You can use Priceline Express and or Hotwire to help determine what needs to be done. Check each day individually, noting the rates in your desired zones and star level. If the rates are essentially flat there probably isn't a peaking issue. If you see much higher (or lower) rates for any shorter span within your stay, that would suggest bidding it separately. Even if the rates are flat all the way, you can experiment with bidding different ranges since there still might be an inventory issue. Assuming you are working M-F, one choice might be to separate off that last weekend and the final Monday - bidding Nov 1-8 and 8-11. That would let you move on the Saturday. Or just split things right in the middle with 1-6 and 6-11. It depends upon your plans and needs. One beauty of splitting your bid is that the new range of days allows you to keep bidding in the same 24 hour time period. Another is it lets you try different star levels and zones for the different splits. Romelle PS - Although I see Alpharetta North in Hotwire, I'm not seeing it in Priceline? Only Alpharetta and Alpharetta South. Link to comment
thereuare
anng3, Please do not create multiple threads for the same stay, keep all threads for this trip in this same thread. Please begin by following-up you previous threads as requested in the original reply above. 'Closing' your threads with whatever you ended up doing for each stay (even if you didn't use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, canceled the trip, booked direct, etc) helps keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone, as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Thanks. thereuare
Coconut Grove Marriott Courtyard $55. The rest I didn't end up using. Nobody reading your other threads will know to look here to learn that you won the Courtyard Coconut Grove for any given stay, nor that you canceled the trip/made other plans for your other threads... please follow-up each of your previous threads with whatever you ultimately did for each stay as this helps keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone, as well as a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. (and it will also avoid any delay in having your future threads responded to) Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.
