bate
EDIT: I wanted to post this in the PL forum, maybe somebody could move my post please. Priceline:I am trying to make sure, if i get The Quin (preferred) or the Westhouse (not so much), could you please help IDing? 5 Star Hotel in Central Park South Area for $367/nightThis deal saves 25% or more compared to similar hotels* Guest Score: Rated 8.0 out of 10 (or higher) guest favoriteGuaranteed Amenities:Pets AllowedRestaurantFree InternetBusiness CenterCheck In: Tue Nov 11, 2014Check Out: Fri Nov 14, 2014 $308 per night Queen Bed - Nonsmoking Deluxe Room$323 per night King Bed - Nonsmoking Room$337 per night King Bed - Nonsmoking Deluxe Room$344 per night 2 Queen Beds - Nonsmoking Room The rating of 8 would speeak for the Quin, but the room choice clearly (?) is only available with the Westhouse, since The Quin does not seem to have a single queen room. What do you think? Confusingly though, the hotel lists for PL does not even have the Westhouse... HW has a similar offer without a room choice. Westerday it said "Last customer got the Quin", today: "Last customer got the Westhouse". :o Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Note that the "Last person got ___" information shown by HOTWIRE is in reference to the zone and star rating, NOT necessarily the specific hotel currently being offered. I'm not certain but my guess for the PRICELINE EXPRESS above would be the Quinn (although i also think the HOTWIRE property is The Westhouse) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. bate
Thanks for your guess and the info about the HW "last person...". If it was the Quin on PL that would mean they sell a singel queen bed, even though this hotel does'nt even have one.The room types offered match one to one the rooms on the westhouse website... I would love to think, I get the Quin, but have my doubts. In your experience - how reliable is the rating info (8+) for idiing the hotel?Quin is 8, westhouse is 10... Link to comment
thereuare
Usually the review rating matches up 'pretty good' but i have seen inconsistencies, usually the result of one side of their service updating the user review rating while another side of their service has not yet 'caught up'. If you'd be willing to change hotels mid-stay, you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. rafimo
I recently stayed at the Westbridge - rating it 5 stars is just plain delusional. Most definitely not a star hotel! Link to comment
thereuare
I recently stayed at the Westbridge... Thanks for your post and comments on this property... i assume you meant the Westhouse? If you stayed here from a HOTWIRE purchase can you please add your win to the board as a NEW TOPIC so that others will be aware of your win when searching the topic titles on the board and in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins. In your post please include the star rating, city, zone, hotel name, room rate per nite, dates of your stay and amenities shown before your purchase... you can still view all of this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.
