graceg815
Hello We will be in LA from the 31st January to the 4th of Feb 2015 and would like stay in a 4* hotel in Hollywood. How much should I be bidding for this? Thanks :) Link to comment
thereuare
So that we don't suggest a strategy that is more than you're willing to pay, let us know your maximum bid for this stay and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Is Hollywood the only acceptable zone? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. graceg815
yes hollywood is the only bidding zone for us. Probably dont want to spend more than $150 a night but we will pay whatever is necessary for that area! Thankyou!!! Link to comment
thereuare
When bidding 4* in the Los Angeles region you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. (NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc) Select 4* Hollywood... Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone2... Bid $110, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* Hollywood and re-bid zone3... Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone2... Bid $125, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* Hollywood and re-bid zone4... Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone2... Bid $140, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* Hollywood and re-bid zone3 and re-bid zone4... Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $148, if rejected add re-bid zone2... Bid $150 Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. graceg815
No luck with this one either but I will keep trying :) Link to comment
thereuare
Did you bid up to $150/nite? At current rates my guess is that you're likely looking in the $150-$170 range... are you willing to increase your bid up to $170/nite? graceg815
I bid up to $130 a night...turns out im not too keen on spending $150! haha. do you think that will be necessary though? If so then thats what I will have to do! Link to comment
AaronJB
Unfortunately, at this point in time I do agree that you're likely looking at $150 or above as being the required bid. However, you certainly have time and I'd try at levels between $130 and $150. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

Nobody can say if rates will come down, or move higher, between now and your stay, but at the moment i think you're likely looking in the $145-$165 range to be successful at a 4* hotel in this zone. You can use our sister site RateDrop to get notified any time a 4* hotel on PRICELINE EXPRESS or Hot.wire (or any 'named' hotel) hotel drops in price to your 'buy point'. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
