johnbatman
Hi! Is there a way to bid for a hotel in Las Vegas Strip North without hitting Trump International Hotel? Usually Trump, on hotwire, is the less expensive of the 5* options up there, and you can seperate it out because it never lists a casino as an amenity. But I fear if I bid for North Strip, I'll end up staying there. Also, I thought Trump was Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North. Did they get rid of that category so that now Trump is grouped with Palazzo and Bellagio etc.? Thanks!!! Link to comment
AaronJB
The "Strip North Vicinity" zone was dropped a few months ago, bringing the Trump back into the Strip North zone. Unfortunately, given that the hotel's back in the Strip North zone, there is no way to avoid it given that if you bid for a particular star rating/zone, you have to be willing to stay at ANY hotel at that star rating in that zone. Still, there are other options - you can search on PRICELINE EXPRESS or Hot.wire for a hotel w/a casino. Let us know if you need help IDing a PRICELINE EXPRESS or Hot.wire listing - or if you have additional questions. johnbatman
Thanks! Yeah that's what I figured. Damn. Ah well, south strip it is! :) Link to comment
AaronJB
What would be your desired max bid per night for this stay? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
johnbatman
I would usually put in north strip and max out at about 140-150 and get the palazzo every time. Now I fear if I do that i'll end up at Trump. Hot.wire has (i'm guessing venetian or palazzo) for 200/night (October 31-November 2nd). PRICELINE EXPRESS has it I think for 174. Link to comment

Now I fear if I do that i'll end up at Trump. PRICELINE EXPRESS has it I think for 174.With the 5* Strip North hotels with casinos selling directly for $250-$275/nite over these dates, i'm not so sure if $150 would have been enough for this specific stay. Currently with the 5* Strip North PRICELINE EXPRESS hotel, showing a Casino amenity (so you know it's not the Trump), priced at $172/nite, that would still seem like very good savings ($100+ per nite) vs. a conventionally booked room. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
