I have found the following on Priceline Express deals:

Old San Juan - Condado

4*

Guest Rating 7+

Pool, Pets, Casino, Restaurant, Fitness, Wifi, Business Center

$127/night

November 27-29, 2014

Would this be Sheraton Old San Juan?

On Name your Price I can bid on a 3.5* in Old San Juan- Condado.  It shows only 7+ and Fitness.  What could this hotel be?

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Best guess for this property would be the Sheraton Puerto Rico Convention Center Hotel and Casino (which is a different property than the Sheraton Old San Juan, which btw, is currently 3.5* rated by PRICELINE)

As far as the amenities and user review rating that is showing on the bidding side of PRICELINE, that is information that pertains to ALL hotels in the zone at this star rating, not a specfici hotel that you would be bidding on (ie- so of all 4* hotels in this zone, the lowest is rated 7.0 or better and all 4* hotels offer Fitness as an amenity). Therefore, this information can't be used to guess the hotel that you may receive.

What are your needs and maximum budget (per nite) for this trip?

I love Old San Juan and have stayed at the Sheraton in Old San Juan many times.  I have always gotten it at a reasonable $100-140/night on Hot.wire.  I have been watching Hotwire for months and the lowest I have found is $168.  Look at weeks before and after and they are $127. I hate paying more than I have too...I am all about deals!

We want to be in Old San Juan as everything we plan on doing is there within walking distance.  I do have to work while there so I need a hotel with in room Wifi.  My husband like the Sheraton as while I'm working he can go downstairs to the casino and play!

What you have to pay is based upon rates for your specific dates... if rates for your dates other than your own are priced lower, that has nothing to do with what you will have to pay for your own travel dates. ;)

If you only want to stay in Old San Juan i'd first suggest using our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com which will show you hotels near almost any location in the world and makes it easy to see how much/more less it would cost to go up/down in star rating OR to stay closer/further from your ideal location. Even if hotels are above what you want to pay i'd suggest trying to find a rate that is refundable (even if more expensive than a non-refundable rate at the same hotel) to protect yourself from rates moving higher while you wait (and hope that they go lower).

Second i would sign up for alerts at RateDrop... you can sign up for alerts for your specfic dates and asked to be notified when:

1) a HOTWIRE hotel in the zone and star rating you want drops in price

2) a PRICELINE EXPRESS hotel in the zone and star rating you want drops in price

3) sign up specifically to know when rates for the Sheraton Old San Juan drops in price (using the 'Named Hotels Tab')

Keep us updated on your progress and let us know if/how we can be of further help along the way.
