thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't yet, as per the message in the red box at the top of the board, please read your messages (it will also make the red box disappear ;) ) We have not yet seen a 1 star hotel reported to the board in this zone and i would be very cautious of such a low rated hotel in this area. Many hotels in South Beach are independent properties (so there are few guidelines or standards which must be maintained) and many independently owned hotels don't have the capital required to keep a hotel properly maintained (especially in a beach area where the sea water can cause increased maintenance issues) What are your needs and maximum budget for this trip? bsantos
Thanks for the quick response! I appreciate a lot your advice and I’m now sure I won’t book this 1 star hotel.. My budget was around $150/night. I feel like I have 3 options in hotwire. A 2* hotel for $131/night, a 2,5* for $152/night and a 3,5* for $193/night. This one for $193/night includes a free breakfast, and is very well rated, that’s why I’m even considering it. Since the 2,5* doesn’t have recommendations yet, I’m between this extremely expensive 3,5* and the 2*. Another option is to change the region to Oceandrive North Area, which I would be willing to do for a better offer. Although, I’m not very comfortable with the North Area hotels, since there is only one option of a 3* hotel for $179/night that charges a $16,95/night restort fee. This one has free breakfast so if I’m sure that it’s a very nice hotel and better than the other options I would consider it too.. I’d also like to consider the Central South Beach Art Deco District Area and the Central South Beach Convention Center Area, but since they’re both too big areas I’m afraid to stay too far away from the beach.. Thanks again very much for your help! Link to comment
thereuare
For the 2.5* hotel at $154/nite i'm seeing the following amenities when using the EASY VIEW tab at BiddingHelper.com: Free Internet Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Blind Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ... my guess for this one would be the Colony Hotel For the 3.5* i'm seeing: Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Boutique Near Beach Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ... my guess here would be a new amenity set for the Beacon Hotel You can also try our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com which may help you find something in a location you would like and within your budget (use the filter/sort features as it's a very powerful user interface that makes it easy to see your options and determine how much more/less it would cost to stay closer/further from your ideal location OR to go up/down in star rating) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
