eoz783399
Hi, I need a room from the 19th-24th september in New York. It's for 3 people, although one person is leaving on the 22nd. We'd like to keep the cost below £200 a night if possible. Am I right in thinking that to ensure a room with 2 beds I can't really do bidding - the best I can do is a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal? Also - would I be better splitting the booking into 2 since the number of people staying will change? Any help gratefully received - bit bamboozled by all the choice in NY! cheers, zoe Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. With two beds, the only way to guarantee is to look on PRICELINE EXPRESS for a listing with bed choice, then clicking on the listing to see if two beds is one of the options. There is no way indicate the amount of people on Price.line, so you would not need to split the stay. With Hot.wire, if you search for more than 2 adults, you should get bedding (which may be 1 bed or 1 + rollaway or 1 + sofa) for the party, but there is no way to select a specific bed type. With both services, if you split the stay, there is no guarantee that the same hotel will be available. Which zone/s would be acceptable and what would be your desired star rating? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

eoz783399
Hi, I guess our ideal budget would be around $200 dollars, but we can probably go to $300 From the point of view of zones, probably somewhere central with good transport links - it's our first time in New York - we want somewhere with nice restaurants/cafes/bars and a bit of a bohemian feel - but really anywhere with good transport - the ideal would be close the Central Park. Thanks for the info on the Express deals - I've been looking at those and have found one in Chelsea - 2 star and £186 (apologies I can only research in sterling) with fitness centre, free internet, free breakfast and business centre - but I can't work out which hotel it is....
