Priceline Hotel: Manhattan 9/10-9/14

Hi, 

I need some bidding help. I've been using Price.line's NYOP for the past few weeks without success. 

 

Here are the details:

-Check-in 9/10, Check-out 9/14

-1 room

-We prefer midtown west, midtown east, central park south, times square, hells kitches or madison square garden area.

-We aren't picky....will go as low as 2 star, but of course prefer higher.

 

I've bid as high as $170 for a 2-star in these areas, without success. Any tips? I'd possibly consider other areas on Manhattan if that'd help. I prefer not to go above $180, if possible.

The only property i'm seeing within your budget is on PRICELINE EXPRESS a 2* hotel in the UWS zone for $176/nite... this property only shows a solo Restaurant amenity so i'm not able to gain any insight as to which one this may be.

I would caution against very low rated hotels in NYC as the quality can deteriorate quickly at the lower rated hotels, and the quality can vary greatly between some of the better hotels and the lesser hotels within the same star rating. More specifically to this property, note that this zone can go pretty far north which may not be the most convenient for the average visitor, but i do understand it's sometimes a trade-off between convenience, quality, and budget.
