Kristih
There's a 5 star for Mid Town East listed on Priceline with the following amenities:Pets, Gym, Breakfast, Business center and it has a 9+ rating? Any idea what hotel this is? Also, what would my bidding strategy be? I was planning to spend $200-$250, but would go up to about 300 if it's a really nice place. We would also be willing to stay in Empire State Building zone, if you see anything better. Thanks for your help,Kristi Link to comment
thereuare
I'm not currently seeing this property offered when searching PRICELINE EXPRESS for your dates... are you still seeing the above on your own search? If looking to bid on PRICELINE, what star rating is it that you're looking for in the MTE and/or ESB zones? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Kristih
Thanks for you reply.I thought I would try bidding on the 5* Midtown East that I mentioned above which is listed on Name Your Own Price on Priceline. But if that fails, a 4.5 star would be fine. (Especially as I only have today to bid!). The most important thing is to be either in Midtown East or Empire State Zone.I am using the links from this site for my bidding.Kristi Link to comment
thereuare
Are both MTE and ESB acceptable at the 5* level? If so, how high do you want to bid for a 5* hotel in either of these two zones? If your 5* bidding is rejected, how high do you want to bid for a 4.5* property? Let us know the above and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Kristih
Yes, both zones are acceptable. For five star, I guess we could even go up to 350. For 4.5, I would think no higher than 300, but I'd rather spend less. Thanks again!Kristi Link to comment

Kristih
This really turned out well. I think they were blowing out rooms for the next day because the Priceline express price for a 4.5* MTE dropped to $166 just before I placed this winning bid on name your price. Thanks!Kristi Link to comment
