If this in indeed in the Fort Lauderdale Beach zone, my best guess for this one would be the Westin Beach Resort.

Yes its in the beach zone - sorry FLL was meant to be Fort Lauderdale not the airport per se.

 

This seems like a GREAT rate for a $250 /night hotel.

 

Can I assume its a no brainer :). Or should I wait?

I'm ready to book Fort Lauderdale today. Just need one night however would like to limit the cab fare as I'm cabbing to the hotel from FLL and back to the port the following day and fares seem to be $30 to the GalleryOne area.

My guess for the 3* would be the Ocean Sky Resort... i'm not currently seeing the 3.5* hotel when searching for your dates and 2adults/2children.

If trying to keep cab fare down, and with you likely having little time to enjoy the beach for one day before you embark on your cruise, why not just stay by the Airport or in the Downtown-Las Olas zones, which is close to both the airport and the port?

Last reported win for the Embassy Suites was HERE in April 2013

The last win for the Hilton Marina is HERE from November 2013

HOWEVER, i'll add that there are a lot of hotels in this area so to pick one or two that you want and hope they show up on HOTWIRE for your dates will require a fair amount of luck. As this is just a one nite stay pre-cruise i would try to focus on getting a good deal, rather than a good deal at a particular property.
