AaronJB
I'm not seeing the $82 3* Strip South when searching for these dates, but I am seeing the $102 condo listing. That listing has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but my guess would be Polo Towers. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. thereuare
I'm seeing both of these on my PRICELINE EXPRESS search... My guess for the 3* hotel would be the Excalibur and for the condo my guess would be the Polo Towers. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. bostonek
Thank you both for your replies. One more question please. Can you help me ID this last hotel, my guess is its Treasure Island (which I would be very happy with). I just don't want it to be the new SLS Hotel as it is far down the strip. I have not been able to rule out the SLS as I noticed that both have a Resort Fee of $25/night (which I saw in the Express Deal section), both are 4 star, and both have similar amenities. thereuare
The Sls Casino has not yet been reported to the board as a win thru PRICELINE EXPRESS, so it's not yet known what amenity set they may be using to describe their property (or if they participate in the Express side of PRICELINE at all)... if that is a property you are looking to avoid i would use HOTWIRE, or book a 5* hotel (while the SLS is currently 4* rated, but this is subject to change as well) where you have some insight on how to not receive the hotel you're hoping to avoid. bostonek
Thanks for your help. I ended up booking the following: 3.5 Star HotelSouth Strip09Oct14 - 12Oct14Price:$123/nightBally's I've never stayed here so I'm not sure what to expect outside of it being in a great location on the strip. I was certain this was going to be either the Luxor or Flamingo but was surprised to see Bally's. Link to comment

thereuare
I've never stayed here so I'm not sure what to expect... It's "old school" Vegas so the hotel does not theme, tigers, etc. but is a solid property. The standard rooms are basic but the upgraded rooms are some of the better values in Vegas so may be worth seeing if an upgrade is available (either complimentary, tipping the front desk clerk, or for a nominal fee) The hotel has a promenade of shops and restaurants that connects it to Paris. The sports bar near the beginning of the promenade (closer to the Bally's side) usually has some good food/drink specials during happy hour and late at nite. Have a good trip... and please do add the PRICELINE EXPRESS amenities if you recall them. Thanks. bostonek
In case this interests anyone... During check in I successfully tried the $20 trick at the front desk (sandwiched a $20 bill in between my ID and Credit Card and asked if there were complimentary upgrades available). The lady was able to upgrade me to their premium Jubilee tower with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower and Bellagio waterfront (only drawback was Paris has a club that blasts loud music until 4:30am). I calculated it to be roughly a $150 difference (total over a three day span) for the cost of $20, so I was pretty happy with the service. My friend checked in the following day and had even better luck - he was upgraded to a huge suite (albeit an older room/floor) with a Jacuzzi as well. Link to comment
