Alt
I have been monitoring hotels in Austin for a few weeks. Yesterday the PRICELINE EXPRESS showed a dip in price for 3* Austin Central zone (GBP 35) and my first bid of GBP29 (approx USD48) was accepted. Great value for a 3* hotel. The only concern I have is that the majority of the booking sites (Hotels.com....) show no room availability for the selected dates for this hotel. I find this a little worrying as I thought hotels put their surplus and unsold rooms through PL. I have checked the confirmation email and all is correct however I will be ringing the hotel direct to confirm. Alt Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success! While more the exception than the rule, we do sometimes see hotels won where the hotel's own website is showing a sold-out condition. I wouldn't be too concerned about it, but i would try not to check-in too late at nite (and if your plans do require a late check-in i would call during the day to let them know the time of your arrival and let them know that you are not a 'no show') Thank you for sharing your win with the board.
