Priceline Hotel: NYC bidding help

Hi!

I will be traveling to NYC Oct. 8-11. I am interested in a 4* and above property in Chelsea, SOHO-TriBeCa, or Union Square-East Village. I have tried bidding with the Priceline NYOP and got up to $240, which is just about my limit. Should I add on the Downtown-Financial zone to help with pricing? Or should I keep trying up to this bid? Or, do you think that the Priceline Express deals would be a good option?

On HOTWIRE there is a 4* in financial district-Wall Street area with amenities: free internet, smoke-free rooms, fitness center, restaurant, business center, self-service laundry, in-room accessible, wheelchair accessible. For $250. Do you think this is the Andaz? Or the World Center Hotel?

Some comments/suggestions:

Given the zones you're choosing, what about the Lower East Side? PRICELINE EXPRESS has what appears to be the Wyndham Garden Chinatown for $229/nite for your dates, generally gets good reviews, and is in sort of inbetween the Soho and Union Square zones that you are currently bidding.

Also available is what looks to be the 4* Wyndham New Yorker for $245/nite in the MSG zone, and depending upon your needs/plans, isn't too far from Chelsea (as well as is close to many subway lines for easy access to other points in the city)

I'm not sure of the HOTWIRE in the Downtown zone (as there are a few possibilities for this one) but PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 4* in this area for $226/nite which i suspect is the World Center Hotel.

Is the one from Priceline Express you were talking about in the Lower East Side the 3* Wyndham Garden Chinatown that is now $241?
