ginamarie1106
I'm looking to spend less than $200 a night for a hotel room in November for 2 people. Thurs-Sun not sure the exact dates but not Thanksgiving weekend. How will I know if the hotel has one or two beds on priceline or hotwire? Also, is there a no cancelation policy? I looked at a website that rents out apartments and it seemed cheaper. What do you suggest? I really wanted to stay in the times square area. Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. Price.line only guarantees double occupancy/one bed. Hot.wire guarantees double occupancy/one bed, as well, although if you indicate more than 2 people, you should get more than 1 bed (although that may mean 1 bed + rollaway, 1 + sofabed or 2 beds.) PRICELINE EXPRESS listings occasionally do offer a "bed choice" option. November is generally very expensive in NYC, although it depends on the exact dates as rates in NYC vary considerably from day-to-day. Opening up your search to more than TS is recommended, as there are some nice areas convenient to TS for less (such as MTE.) One of the trade-offs for the discounted rates of Price.line and Hot.wire is that once you make a purchase, the reservation cannot be cancelled or changed. Please let us know when your dates are confirmed and if TS is the only zone of interest. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
