Trying to figure out what hotel this may be.  Looking at September 23-27th in Union Square West in SF.  Priceline Express has a 3 star for $157 and is saying 30% off.  Amenities inlcude Pets, restaurant, free internet in room and fitness center.  My first best guess was Hotel California as that seems to be the most popular winning 3 star in that area and a known PRICELINE EXPRESS hotel,  but it has free breakfast and it doesnt say that.

Thanks much for your input.

Note that while the hotel needs to have all the amenities it shows... it doesn't need ot show all the amenities that hit has.

From what i have read the Hotel California has recently changed ownwership and at this time the Breakfast is no longer included, so the Hotel California would be a likely candiate and my best guess fort his one.

I think I have talked myself out of the hotel Califorinia due to t he fact that september is the warmest month in SF and having no AC so I have been going for a 4 star.  I have went from $165 up to $195 adding union square east, west, Fishermens warf, financial district and still got the hook.  I am a tad disspointed in priceline since both hotwire and Expedia Unpublished Rate Hotels have 4 stars in union square east and west for just under $200.  I would like to get my hotel on Priceline for my rewards pts.  Any advice?

Thanks much for your input.

Update.  I went up to $200 for dates Sept 23-27th.  on a 4 star added Union Sq east and west, finaincial dist, fishermens warf and Moscone.  This time they countered with $253 per night.  Really?!!!!!!!!!  WTH?  let down on Priceline.   Thinking on maybe just doing the expedia deal as I have some experida rewards and they have a 4 star in union square east (my most preferred area) for $196 .

If the counter offer was $253, that is not actually the number needed to win, it's likely somewhere between your last failed bid and the counter offer price.

Are you looking at an expedia "unpublished deal"? If so, that is powered by Hot.wire. If you would like help trying to ID the listing, please provide the full set of amenities showing - including the accessible amenities (if any.)

Please keep us updated on what you do decide and if you have additional questions.

Aaron,

Thanks for your input. Yes I know they will take less then $253 from past experience and even thier PRICELINE EXPRESS deals show 4 stars less then $253, but it is a let down on what I can get a hotel for when Hot.wire and Expedia are showing much less for a 4 star and I am convinced I would be happy with any of the 4 stars in downtown SF.  Expe.dia unpubliished shows:

The Sir Francis Drake, Intercontinental Mark Hopkins and Parc 55 would be possibilities, but I'd lean towards the Parc 55. I'm seeing the same listing on HOTWIRE.
