kate00030
I'm looking for a 4* hotel or better for just one night (August 14) in SOMA, Union Square East/Nob Hill, Union Square West, Japan Town/Civic Center North, or Hayes Valley/Civic Center South. FIsherman's Wharf, Financial District, or Lombard Street would be okay too. I would like to pay under $200; ideally under $150 but I'm not sure if that's possible. Location isn't that important as long as it's in the city; really just trying to get the best price for a very comfortable night's sleep (I have a job interview in the morning). Could someone please give me some advice on bidding? Thanks very much, Kate Link to comment
kate00030
I just poked around realized there are no 4* hotels in Civic Center. Or Lombard Street. Sorry about that, I should have checked first. So -- SOMA or Union Square? Financial District and Fisherman's Wharf would also be okay. Thanks!! Link to comment
AaronJB
Unfortunately, rates are high for these dates. For a 4* in these zones, you could start somewhat lower, but based on the rates I'm seeing, I think you will likely have to go up to the $215-230 neighborhood. HOTWIRE was showing a 4* for $245 and $255, but once clicked upon, it's showing that these listings are no longer available. PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 4* for $238, but that listing has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board and remains a mystery due to the inclusion of casino as an amenity. Would possibly going up to as high as around $230 be acceptable? If not, using our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com, what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel for these dates? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
