Priceline Hotel: Bidding Strategy Help - Aug. 14 - Aug. 20

My goal is to find a hotel under $190 (all-in +tax) with:

  • 4* with affordable parking fee if possible.
  • 3* with free parking if I cannot get 4* in budget.
The zone doesn't matter very much.

Preferred Millbare or north.

However, it's OK from San Mateo (south) to the downtown (north, as long as the price is ok and parking fee is not too high).

I tried 4* to bid in "SFO Airport" and "San Mateo" from 100 -> 160 ($10 per step) using free rebid zones. All failed.

Is it unlikely to get 4* with such price in this season?

My other choice is using PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals to get

  • 3.5* + free parking in San Mateo - $ 168 - should be "Crowne Plaza"?
  • 3* + free parking in San Mateo - $ 165 - "Hilton Garden" or "Courtyard"?
Looking for better advice. Is there any tips ?

Welcome to BetterBidding!

For a 4* hotel i think you're likely looking at the $170-$180 area... for help with the PRICELINE EXPRESS properties above please include the full list of amenities that are associated with each and we'll take a closer look at each offer (assuming you don't want to bid another $10-$20 higher for a 4* property)
