Priceline Hotel: Stay in Long Island City 10/2 - 10/5

Hello,

 

I am looking to book 3 nights in a hotel on Long Island City. I am pretty familiar with the bidding process, as I have won several hotels in the past. There appear to be no 3* + hotels in Manhattan for under $200 a night, therefore I was thinking LIC would be an acceptable alternative, as many hotels are within walking distance of the metro. There are two express deals in particular I am interested in. Do you know which hotel these may be?

 

First is a 2* with parking, internet, breakfast for $107

Second is 3* with restaurant, fitness center, internet, business center for $169

 

Another idea I had was bidding for a 3* in LIC. Do you know if these hotels would be in walking distance to a metro? Based on the shaded region, I fear winning a hotel south of Long Island Expy or East of 25A.

There appear to be no 3* + hotels in Manhattan for under $200 a night...

HOTWIRE does have a 4* hotel in the UES zone for $183/nite (Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Pet Friendly) if this would be of any interest... a new amenity set for the Bentley would be a guess for this one, although even if a different hotel, this property does show a 4.0/5.0 TA rating, so it should at least be of decent quality/experience.

There is also a 3* in the ESB zone for $199/nite, a 3* in TS for $202/nite, and a 4* in the ESB zone at $209/nite which are all below, or very close to, your maximum bid.

Also, if you're only interested in 3*+ hotels in Manhattan, are you willing to accept a 2* hotel in LIC? (there are also 2*/2.5* hotels in Manhattan for less than $200/nite if you're willing to lower your star rating to the same as what you're considering in LIC)

If you are still interested in the LIC properties... my guess for the 2* would be the Best Western City View Inn; for the 3* my guess would be the Holiday Inn LIC Manhattan View or the Four Points Long Island City/Queensboro Bridge.
