imoahu
Been following HotDeal air on Hotwire - HNL-SFO 7/30-8/4 is $150 cheaper than retail. Almost all of the higher priced flights shown on the Hotwire site are decent times and non stop. It does say +day. Does that mean for sure a Red Eye? What is the likelihood of a long connection? What is the likelihood of a early AM flight? Any way to predict the odds? Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
When i try to replicate your search i'm given a message to choose an airline... are you selecting HOT.WIRE >> FLIGHTS to begin your search and are you receiving the same box with airline selection? imoahu
Yes - Flights- depart 7/30 return 8/4. Find a flight. Takes me to a Hotwire Hot Fare of $474. Which is a great price, but don't want to get stuck with some sucky schedule.... any thoughts? Red Eye, long connection, early departure? Link to comment
thereuare
I see it now... This is what i'm seeing for your outbound flight: Departs between 6am and 2am (may depart after midnight) Arrives +1 day 0 - 1 stops ==> so i would expect that this (or the final leg of the flight) would be a late flight and a red-eye and does arrive the following date. Also, on this page it indicates the layover would not be more than 3 hours... but it's possible that this could be a routing of HNL-->LAX-->SFO (or any other city as the layover/connection... or it could be a direct flight, there is no way to know for certain) Inbound i'm seeing: Departs between 6am and 10pm Arrives the same day 0 - 1 stops ==> so i would assume this one would either be an early morning or afternoon flight, but technically could leave anytime between 6am and 10pm, as long as the scheduled arrival had you back at HNL on the same calendar day Basically you need to decide of the 'unknown' routing and conditions above are worth the $150 savings vs. choosing your flight times/routing.
