Priceline Hotel: 3* Los Angeles (Airport LAX) La Quinta Inn and Suites LAX

I started with your Priceline.com link.

 

I had bid up to $75 for a 3-star hotel over the past week without success.  A few days ago, I lowered my bids to include 2.5 star hotels and bid up to $75 without success. Today I again bid $75 for 2.5 star and was rejected.  I then raised my star level to 3 and bid $80.  My bid was rejected, but I was told that if I increased my bed to $94, I would get a hotel.  I declined but increased my bid to $82, which was accepted.  The hotel's website rate is $95, so this is not a huge savings, but it is still better than paying full price.
