Spicer
I am travelling 08/10 to 08/16 I have been trying for weeks on pl to get a winning bid. The express deal is $126 I have Gone as high as $120 with rebids etc. is it better to give shorter stay and when pl accepts to add more dates? Is that a possibility? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! There is no 'Financial' zone on PRICELINE... what is the actual name of the PL zone you have been bidding? I do see THIS 4* hotel in the Downtown-City Center zone for $117/nite (confirm your dates on the landing page) The amenities for this PRICELINE EXPRESS property are somewhat common (Outdoor Pool, Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Business Center, Fitness Center) but the Omni has previously been seen with this set so that would be my best guess for this one. Does this PRICELINE EXPRESS property works for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help. Spicer
Sorry it's called Montreal city centre..I need to be walking distance to bell centre. Do you think I'd have a better chance at getting a winning bid fir less days? Will I be able to add days once my bid is accepted? My dates are 08/10 to 08/16. Also I dont see express deal for $117 only $126'. Any assistance you can help me with is greatly appreciated Link to comment
AaronJB
These dates seem similarly busy for the front half and the back half. I don't think you're going to see any worthwhile benefit in splitting your stay in this instance (in general, if you do bid for part of a stay, there is no guarantee the hotel will allow you to extend for the other portion or may charge a higher price.) I'm seeing a Hot.wire listing for $125, there's the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for around the same price (I'm seeing it for $117 this morning, as well.) If you have bid up to $120, at this point you may want to consider either of those options. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Spicer
Now it appears the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal went up to $152. Hopefully this increase is temporary.I'm seeing 4* Montreal financial district on HOTWIRE as a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal that includes free breakfast and free internet. Any ideas what that might be? I've only really been watching PRICELINE, does HOTWIRE have the same selection of hotels?Sorry meant to add the HOTWIRE deal is $178. Link to comment
AaronJB
Unfortunately, there's no way to know if it's temporary or may go even higher. You can use our new RateDrop service in order to get alerts if the price falls, but in the meantime I would be actively looking for alternatives in case the Express deal isn't coming back down. Are you seeing any other acceptable alternatives on Hot.wire or PRICELINE EXPRESS? If so, please let us know the details (price, star rating, zone, amenities) and we would be happy to take a look and try to ID. Spicer
Still trying on a daily basics PRICELINE EXPRESS deal at 128 and HOTWIRE is 139. I have bid as high as 120 and with no dice. Any guesses on what the hotwire deal is? Maybe with the 41% off it seems to be a better hotel. I use the PRICELINE link from this board for all my tries. Link to comment
AaronJB
Please provide the complete details of the listing if you would like us to try to ID the Hot.wire listing (zone, star rating, complete list of amenities and price per night in USD$ before taxes/fees.)
