AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :) I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Also, you can see the listings that have been reported to the board here: Hotwire Hotel List New York Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. fcan
Thanks for your reply! I used the betterbidding.com tool and have updated with further amenities below: HOTEL 1Soho/Tribeca area4 starFaciltiies: Free Internet, Boutique Hotel, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower$248 (compared to $321)80% recommendedHOTEL 2Empire State Building area4 starFacilities: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access$264 (compared to $424)85% recommendedHOTEL 3Chelsea area4-starFacilities: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower$237 (compared to $307)90% recommendedHOTEL 4Upper West Side area4-starFacilities: Free Internet, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower$231 (compared to $365)95% recommendedAny guesses would be highly appreciated! Please let me know if further information is needed as this is my first time posting (and first time using Hotwire) :) I should also mention that I am searching for 1 room, 4 adults (we are only 2 adults traveling but would like 2 separate beds - thus the search). Generally speaking, for Christmas time in New York, would it be better to book as soon as possible to get the best rates, or do prices tend to drop closer to the holidays? Link to comment
thereuare
Best guess/comments for each: HOTEL 1 Soho/Tribeca area --> possibly the Duane Street hotel HOTEL 2 Empire State Building area --> most likely the St Giles The Court... but could also be the Carlton on Madison Avenue HOTEL 3 Chelsea area --> Hotel Indigo Chelsea New York HOTEL 4 Upper West Side area --> Lucerne Hotel Your dates are after the peak Christmas travel season... but you're encroaching on those coming to town for the NYE Holiday which is going to be peak demand. Also, any time that you search for quad occupancy in NYC you're options are going to be limited. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
fcan
Many thanks for your help and advice, I really appreciate it! I ended up not using Hot.wire this time, as I got a fantastic deal using a major hotel chain's price matching service (for a saving of 100 USD/night). Looking forward to spending Christmas in New York! Link to comment
