Priceline Hotel: 4* Embarcadero Hotel 10/10-10/14

Any advise how to get a 4* hotel in Embarcadero/Financial District from 10/10-14 (4 nights) for around $120~130 per night? 
I've been tried bidding up to $125 already for the financial district and were unsuccessful.

Or should I take another region for consideration e.q. Union Square East - Nob Hill and Fisherman's Wharf.

I'm not sure what's going on on these dates, but rates are sky-high. Unfortunately, $120-130 is not going to be possible in the core areas of San Francisco (and may even be a little tough by the airport, depending on star rating.) Hot.wire is showing 4*'s in Union Square for $350-450+.

Are your dates flexible at all? If unable to get anything in the city within your budget what are your thoughts... increase your budget and/or lower your star rating, stay outside of 'downtown', etc?
