bigbluedevotion
I'm looking at New Haven for a possible upcoming stay. For Priceline bidding (accessed from the link on this site for 9/5-9/7), I notice a 3.5 star option for downtown, but haven't seen a 3.5 star hotel from just a regular Priceline search at posted prices. How is that possible? Is it a possibility that Price.line would have a hotel available for "Name Your Own Price" but not available for purchase at posted prices? Link to comment
AaronJB
Might be a placeholder with nothing at that level currently (if that is actually the case and you were to "win", likely you would be upgraded to 4*), may be a hotel with no inventory for your date/s on the retail side or something else. The retail and bidding sides of the service are different and the retail side is not always an indicator of what hotels may be available on the bidding side, as the two sides of their service use a different universe of hotel. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
