b_michelini
Hello! I used PRICELINE to book hotels on my last vacation in Orlando. And now, I'm looking to get 5* hotels in Las Vegas. But, I noticed that many of the accommodations offered in hotels in Vegas have only one bed. Booking by PRICELINE, all accommodations have 2 beds? I'm going with a friend.. Can anyone tell me how is the policy of extra beds in Las Vegas? it works booking by PRICELINE? Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbiding. :)PRICELINE bidding only guarantees one bed/double occupancy. Two beds can be requested by calling the hotel or at check-in. However, the hotel can say no or charge more. In some cities, two beds is easier to negotiate (family-friendly Orlando), but others are difficult or very difficult. Vegas is one instance where, especially at the 5* level, a number of users have reported having to pay upgrade fees for two beds. A better option would be HOTWIRE, where you can indicate four people (2 adults and 2 children, even if there isn't two children.) That should result in some form of bedding for the entire party (2 beds or 1 + sofa or 1 + rollaway.) What are the date/s of travel and your desired budget per night? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
b_michelini
We're thinking about $90-100/night. 8/24/14-8/29/14.Do you know if it's possible to book Palazzo, Venetian or Aria for this price? Link to comment
AaronJB
What are your thoughts on the above notes regarding two beds - are you willing to take a risk that you do not get two beds? These dates actually look reasonable. When I search for 2 adults and 2 children (to indicate 4 even if there is only 2 people, to try and get more than 1 bed), I'm seeing a 5* in the North Strip for $96 (you may see a slightly different price) w/:Free ParkingFree InternetResortSuiteCasinoFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterInternet accessGolf NearbyTennis NearbySpa ServicesAccessible for the blindAccessible for the deafAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomHandicapped parkingRoll-in showerThis amenity set would be a possible match for the Venetian or Palazzo. Juanito
I am also passing through Las Vegas with my kids. I found that on Hot.wire, if I filtered Amenities to Suites, I got the largest selection. If you have a car and are willing to be off the Strip, you can find a "Condo" or a suite for less money than a regular room on the Strip. And the Condo or Suite will have a coffee maker and a refrigerator, which the Strip room probably won't have. Link to comment
b_michelini
Actually, I'm going with a friend. So, We used Hot.wire, as AaronJB suggested, and we got The Venetian for $95/night. Let's see if we have any problem with the beds. I hope not. Thanks so much! Link to comment
