AaronJB
For the 3*: I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOT.WIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? The 3.5* would be a possible match for the Ameritania, but with only one common amenity, there is the chance it may be something else (a previously reported hotel hiding amenities or new hotel.) Thank you for using the board's HOT.WIRE or PRICE.LINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

Rhuff
I would figure it is hotel discretion, however, can you have 4 guests in the hotels that are featured on priceline? Traveling with kids, and the rates are much better. Upgrading afterwards would be the way to go? Has anyone tried this? A couple list "bed choice available" What is that indicate? Link to comment
thereuare
I assumed that all of these posts where for the same stay and have merged them... if this is not correct please let us know. What are the actual dates of your trip? How old are your kids? What is your target budget per nite? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. thereuare
I would figure it is hotel discretion, however, can you have 4 guests in the hotels that are featured on priceline?PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. This is considered especially risk in NYC where rooms are notoriously small and hotels have a high percentage of rooms with only one bed in them (and many have little or no space for a rollaway) As well, many hotels consider rooms with two beds to be an upgrade and there would be an additional fee (if an upgrade is available, more on this below) Traveling with kids, and the rates are much better. Upgrading afterwards would be the way to go?The rates are much better because quad occupancy (regardless if children or not) is often an upgrade in NYC as it also often puts you into a different room class. You could take the risk and get assigned a room with two beds just for asking, but it's also possible that things don't go that smoothly... the hotel may not have any rooms available that accommodate quad occupancy, the hotel could not be willing to upgrade you (even at an additional fee), an upgrade could be prohibitively expensive (what if the hotel wants $75/nite for an upgraded room) and you're already committed with your non-refundable reservation,, etc. A couple list "bed choice available" What is that indicate? If you click the offer the room-type description is provided (there may or may not actually be a 'choice', sometimes only one room type/description listed). Sometimes multiple room types are listed (often with different rates, as per above, rooms with two beds often cost more than rooms with one bed) and if you can find one that offers two beds within your budget it would be a good option (although technically PRICELINE still only guarantees double occupancy, regardless of how many beds the room has) Based upon the above let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. I will note that HOTWIRE has a 3* hotel in the East Village-LES zone for 2a/2c for $213/nite with a 95% user recommendation and Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business amenities (my guess for this one would be the Holiday Inn NYC - Lower East Side, should this be of any interest. Rhuff
Trying to locate a 2 star in NYC, MSG - Hells Kitchen with amenity: Business Center. Nothing else listed under Hotwire Easy View. Thoughts? 183 a night now. Link to comment
AaronJB
With only one amenity, it's difficult to begin to narrow down what this hotel may be. I'd guess that the Manhattan Broadway hotel would be a possibility in this case, but it may be something else. I would recommend against going with under 2.5* in NYC, as the quality can really vary significantly - you may luck out and get something you like, but you could also get something disappointing (this listing is showing a 2.5/5 tripadvisor rating on the detail page.) The Lower East Village 3* does remain on HOTWIRE for $218 and that does get good reviews. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
