thereuare Posted July 9, 2014 Report Share Posted July 9, 2014 SeaWorld (PRICELINE's Mission Bay zone) and the Zoo (PRICELINE's Balboa Park zone... but most 'Downtown' zones are also nearby) are not too far from each other... but LegoLand is up north in the Oceanside-Carlsbad zone. Do you prefer to stay in the middle of all of these locations OR stay closer to SeaWorld/Zoo and a longer trip on the day to LegoLand? Also, not sure how many rooms/adults/children you're seeking, but keep in mind that PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it is at the discretion of the hotel. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. If this is not a risk you're willing to accept, HOTWIRE would still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc) Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Ideally, I'd like a hotel that's walking distance to some fun stuff, so it sounds like the park or downtown might be the best. I don't care much about the occupancy because my kiddos are little and will probably end up in my bed anyway. I did see a 4* hotel on Hotwire in the Gaslamp Quarter - Convention Center area for $114, which seems like a pretty good deal. Any idea what hotel that is? And does that mean I can take my chances on priceline for less? Thanks for your help! Link to comment

This property has previously been reported to the board but was in the Downtown-Marina zone and it appears that HOTWIRE has tweaked the zone boundaries in this area so that this one is now in the Gaslamp Quarter-Convention Center zone... thanks for helping us update the Hotwire Hotel List. I believe there were likely more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.
