AaronJB
Please provide a follow-up for your prior Coral Gables Hotwire thread (post what you decided for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread and we would be happy to take a look and try to ID the above listing.) Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
Maui123
I never ended up booking that hotel. I added that to the other thread. Link to comment
thereuare
Please check for and use the links in our Support Page for your hotel direct purchases when PRICELINE / HOTWIRE don't work out for the stay. Best guess for the 3.5* Newport Beach property above would be the Radisson Hotel Newport Beach, upgraded to the 3.5* level since the last time it was reported to the board. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Maui123
Okay thanks. I kind of thought that may be the case, as well. I'll update you guys if I decide to move forward with that booking. I'm not in a rush, so I'll be watching to see what else may pop up. Link to comment
thereuare
Please follow-up this thread with whatever you decide to do for this stay... even if you don't use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, book direct, cancel the trip, etc. You can also sign up for alerts with our new site, RateDrop, and you'll be notified any time a hotel in the zones and star rating that you designate drops in price. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or the links in our Support Page should you decide to book direct. Maui123
Oops sorry- it's a 4* rating. I always cross check with the lists on BB... sometimes it's just hard to narrow down when there are several with the same star rating. :) Link to comment
thereuare
The Avenue of the Arts Wyndham Hotel would be my best guess for this property, but if you are interested in this property let us know as i think there is a slightly better way to play it. Maui123
We were hoping for something closer to the beach. We are hoping to stay around $120 or less per night. Link to comment
thereuare
If you search our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com (where you can get a very good visual of hotels that are near the beach as well as their star ratings and prices) you'll see that there really are not many 3* or higher hotels that are near the beach, and of those that are, the 2.5* properties start at $200+ and the 4* hotels at $300+, so something that is close to the beach for less than $120 doesn't seem likely for these dates. If you could pick any hotel(s) in this area... which one(s) would you want? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Maui123
Yeah, I'm very familiar with the area as we used to live there until a few years ago. I don't necessarily have a preference in hotel- was just hoping for closer, at a decent rate. I know we're going during peak season, so everything runs higher, though. I wouldn't mind Irvine as long as it was north of the spectrum area. Ideally we would like to be in Newport. Link to comment
