Won 4* hotel One UN (formerly Millennium UN Plaza) in Midtown East area on first bid of $125 for next Friday night 5/30.  Surprised the heck out of me!  

 

Room cost:  $125

Taxes/Fees: $33.70

 

Total: $158.70

 

A little concerned that reviews have said that East Tower is run down but for $125 on a weekend I'm not complaining!  Lowest rate listed at hotel website is $199/night on their website and Expedia.

Just a follow up … stay was excellent! Do not worry if you get the East Tower - room is HUGE, clean and has terrific view. Could it use updating? Yes but we loved it. Bed was super comfortable and I will say again that the room was huge, not just for NYC standards but for any hotel.  We had a regular room (not a suite, not a corner room or accessible room). Also the staff couldn't have been nicer.  They let us check in more than 3 hrs early on a Friday because the room was ready and did not treat us any differently because we booked on Priceline (not always the case at other hotels!).
