Romelle
If you get a property thru HOTWIRE or PRICELINE and the property is a Timeshare are you required to attend the presentation to stay at the property? But be prepared to resist some really creative marketing ploys. The simple "No thank you" works best. Don't try to explain, or they will grasp your reasons and try another ploy based on those reasons. If you are having trouble getting away, a second comment that works and doesn't worsen the situation is "I'm absolutely sure". I respect the sales profession. But when I am sure I'm not interested in the product, I figure the kindest thing one can do is politely waste as little of their time as possible. And don't feel guilty. You are actually helping the timeshare corporation by giving them money for a product that would otherwise just sit. Feel good about that, extract yourself, and go sit on the beach or whatever it was for which you came to the area. Romelle Link to comment
