In terms of areas I don't really mind in which area to stay since I understand the majority of the areas in Manhattan are attractive. Despite this I won't be interesting staying in the Harlem area and would prefer not to stay in the MTE since I will be staying there during September (booked through a pl Express Deal). Obviously I would prefer to spend as little as possible for this stay but I believe that my max budget will be $160 per night before tax. As for your stay above the most frequently bid zones at the 4* level (besides MTE) are: CPS, ESB, MSG, MTW, TS, Chelsea However, note in the CPS zone is the Hudson Hotel which while well located has notoriously small rooms, would this be acceptable? As well, these zones may offer cheaper prices but are not as well located as those above: Downtown, HK, LES, Soho, East Village Please confirm which zones are acceptable and we'll advise accordingly. I do think trying up to $180 is a reasonable approach (continuing from your last failed bid up by $2-3 at a time using re-bidding) and hopefully that will be enough. What looks like your best deal at the moment would be a 3* hotel on PRICELINE EXPRESS for $197/nite, but the discount link and code in my signature takes an additional 5% OFF brining this to $187/nite. This property has a good 8.0/10.0 rating from previous guests, and if my guess of the Blue Moon hotel is correct, it also has a very good 4.5/5.0 TA rating (most of the negative reviews are regarding the hotel having a strict cancellation policy): Free Breakfast Free Internet in room Business Center You could try bidding for something cheaper, but then you won't be able to have a guess as to what it is that you may receive, and you're subject to any 3* hotel in the zones that you choose... at least with the property above you have a bit of a 'safety net' with the positive reviews. As well, maybe the Free Breakfast can help justify the slightly higher cost since it will save you money for that meal. In this way I can get better deals within the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals for probably the same hotel you mentioned. If I will win the same hotel...Not sure if you were seeing something different earlier, but currently the two date ranges show a different amenity set for the 3* hotel in the LES zone, so i would assume that they are likely different properties. As well, even if they are the same, one is priced at $181/nite and the other at $215/nite, which would not produce any savings vs. purchasing the complete stay for all 4 nites. nirobt Posted June 12, 2014 Author Report Share Posted June 12, 2014 Hi,The price for the mentioned deal (Lower East Side 3 stars) has just drop down to $180 before the 5% discount so I decided to book it.Indeed it turned out to be the Blue Moon hotel as suggested in the forum.Thank you so much for your help.The deal includes free Wi-Fi and free breakfast.Nir Link to comment
