Hi,

I used the betterbidding tool for hotwire search

London 6/6 - 10/6

Mayfair - Piccadilly Circus - Soho area hotel

5 stars

252$ per night (instead of 470$) (from strange reason in the "easy view" tab the price is 257$ - how come ?)

FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services

trip advisor rate is 4.5/5 with 95% recommendations

any idea what it is ?

Thanks!

Please provide a follow-up for your prior Barcelona Hotwire thread (post in that thread what you decided for that stay), then reply to this thread and we'll be happy to look into the above. Please follow-up your threads with whatever you end up doing, even if you chose to book direct, cancel your trip, etc.

Sometimes the BiddingHelper.com will be a few dollars cheaper, sometimes the HOTWIRE tab a few dollars cheaper... often they'll be the same (as i'm currently seeing both at $257/nite).

Best guess for this property would be the Metropolitan Hotel London.

Tax is shown during check-out, before you make your purchase.

Prices do not always go down closer to the stay. They can absolutely go in the other direction, as well. There have been less in the way of "last minute" price drops in recent years as traffic/demand has gone up. If this is a busy period for any reason (event, convention), rates can go up closer to the date/s.

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Yes, i was referring to The Metropolitan by COMO.

As noted above, the purchase including taxes/fees is shown on the last page of the booking process where you input your information (look in the TRIP SUMMARY box on the right side of the page)
