jokertone
Booked a deal through HOTWIRE, was 4 star San Antonio Riverwalk for $106. Ended up being the Sheraton Gunter. The thing that annoys me about this is the Sheraton was not even on the standard rate list. You would think the secret rate deals would pertain to the hotels they offer on standard rate as well. Amenities list was: Pet friendly, Boutique Hotel, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success! While perhaps not the hotel you were expecting, hope you're pleased with the results for the price paid and that this property will work for your needs this trip. For the future (as you now know) the 'retail' side and the 'opaque' side of HOTWIRE each use a different universe of hotels, so you can't use one to determine what you will likely get thru the other (same with PRICELINE, PRICELINE EXPRESS, and their 'retail' side) Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
fstanush
Rest assured, you will like the Gunter...it is a historic hotel, though has been updated and is well taken care of by Sheraton. Istayed there last year and several times in past even back to my paperboy days in the 80's when I lived there. I know what the heck are those anymore:) Link to comment
